in Iraq is terrible.  We wrecked that country.  This is why I get so angry when we use humanitarian justifications for going to war, overthrowing a govt., etc.

Glad that you are getting some rain.  We're pretty saturated here and it's been cloudy and sprinkly for a few days. This afternoon the sun came out and it warmed up (a bit too much for my liking actually).  We don't seem to get that slow transition anymore. It's chilly and then we got straight to the 80s and 90s so it's hard to acclimate. This spring has been very cold relatively though, with a few warm bursts.  I thought we were going to get summer weather steadily about a month ago, but it got cold again.  Frankly I love it when it's in the 50s, 60s and low 70s with low humidity is perfection, but I think we'll really start getting the hot weather soon.  I'd like it to stay cool a little longer because there is still a ton of yard work to do, though we've done a lot and it's been a major improvement.

We have this green stuff growing on the siding on one side of the house, and a bit on the front, and black stuff growing on the front steps and walkways.  KBO fixed the power washer and has been out there for three days cleaning things up.  It looks really, really good.  He was teaching my youngest how to do it today for a short while.

I've been weeding and preparing beds. I need mulch badly.  Have to get some prices and get some delivered.  I hate spending $ on mulch but the weeds take over without it.
