a New England kind of poker game called "midnight baseball" but I digress) I don't know where to start with it.

If it has anything to do with the Commander in Chief of the US Military asking not to get wet, then I say "fooey". Anyone who is pissed off about holding an umbrella for the President ought to get out of the Service. This isn't Chile in the 80's, people.

I resent that. I demand snark, and overly so -- Markos Moulitsas.

Nobody plays dealer's choice anymore. Everybody plays Hold 'Em if they play cards at all, which they don't.

The free market is not the solution, the free market is the problem.

is a topic of concern to competent sergeants. If the officers are too coddled they dangerous hubris. If they are not coddled at all they make dangerous mistakes related to hunger, cold, and lack of sleep.

It's possible that the president has no idea where huge umbrellas are kept, has never personally owned any, and that's a good thing. Two looked like they might be needed, an NCO saw the need, and a Marine was assigned to the task.
