I think 21 for beer and light wine is ridiculous, but there it is.  A young adult isn't magically imbued with the power to drink responsibly just because they get wasted one night to celebrate their "coming of age", but we draw a line.

20 and 16?  21 and 17?  Yeah, ought to be a misdemeanor with no sex crime registration, as long as it wasn't a matter of abusing a position of state authority.

Bump to a two to five year felony with registration at a five year age gap.

I think the line between 14 and 15 really is big.  Some 14 year olds are still in 8th grade, depending on where their birthday falls.  Some junior high's are 7-9.

I think there's a difference when kids enter high school.  For girls in particular, a lot of them will have friends a couple years older, their parents will be more direct in explaining dangers to them, and they feel more "grown up", which is pretty important in terms having the agency to say the word "no".

13 and 16? 12 and 15?  Ought to be a misdemeanor that can only be tried in  juvenile court, unless there are aggravating factors like an older minor plying the child with drugs or alcohol or the like.

To me, well, when I was growing up anyone who was messing around with anyone in middle school after going to high school was just a sad loser.  Anyone dating high school kids after their own graduation was pathetic, unless they were already dating them before graduation.

A 20 year old with a diploma hanging around the high school trying to pick up 17 year old chicks is farrr skeezier than a 20 year old freshman at a state college picking up on a 17 year old freshman at a state college, you know?  But that's not shit I see any way to write into law.
