    it was NOT consensual. 15 year olds don't get to consent. And what you would do as a parent is not what everybody would do, and the assumption that the reason they aren't you is because they're homophobes is without support.

      They knew about the relationship while Kate was still 17, and yet didn't do anything until February, seven months after she turned 18.  

      Even if they weren't motivated by homophobia, this still sounds petty.
