comfort, so prayers will have to do.  My prayers and warm energy for you and your family--no matter how apart by distance or legal changes, family is of the heart.  I wish you all well, and peace of mind.

We cannot call ourselves a civilised society if we refuse to protect the weakest among us.

I will admit that news of his death has settled me a little--it's one thing we don't have to worry about now (him coming back, hurting someone else, etc.) Now the family can focus on healing and taking care of the girls.

My belief system says there is a purpose for everything. That we arrive with a purpose to fulfill. With that in mind, I can also wish him to RIP, but man, it's hard. I am VERY grateful, though, that he took his own life, and that it's on no one else's hands.

but I believe very much as you do, and while it is certainly not a happy thing, it is of some comfort that he cannot do further harm to those you love.

I put this part of our beliefs a tad differently:
Stuff happens, but never for no reason.

He has gone on to the next thing in his progression; whether he learns his lessons or not, is on him.  We who remain focus on what we need to learn.  One life touches us all, doesn't it?

I wish you and your family peace.
