  •  The Problem is Republican Persistence! (9+ / 0-)

The Democratic Base will put this behind them.  The Republican Base and Republican Politicians will persist.  Democrats will forget that this was a Republican issue.  Then, in 2014, during the Mid-term elections, when voter turnout is down anyway, Republican Base operatives will be motivated and, unless, the Democratic operatives are able to remind Democratic voters of the consequences, we will see another off-year disaster like 2010.

Our lesson should be "Remember 2010!"

"Stupidity got us into this mess, then why can't it get us out?" Will Rogers offering advice to the Republican Party.

    •  I doubt that. I suspect we'll turn out a (2+ / 0-)

larger base than usual because even meh voters are sick of the shit.  Plus I think Dems are going to hit the House hard on doing nothing about jobs but spending millions on fake repeal votes and fake scandals.  The Senate might be hurt by blocking people like Richard Cordray who's fighting for citizens against banks.  It's all there waiting to come to a boil.

I'm not looking for a love that will lift me up and carry me away. A love that will stroll alongside and make a few amusing comments will suffice.

    •  That is my big fear (0+ / 0-)

All this hoopla is to keep the republican base stirred up.
I don't think they are anywhere near as angry about
stuff this time around as they were in 2010.

I fear the first year of the Obamacare mandate next year
making people angry, as you know there will be screwups and job losses that get huge play on the little screen.
