  •  They are ridiculously common in the Midwest (8+ / 0-)

    So much so, that its easy to ignore them or even get annoyed with them with their screechy unpleasant voices. But Europeans like them a lot. They are ridiculously colorful. We should reflect on how vastly better the birding is in North America than in Europe.
