  •  A Wonderful diary this morning, Lineatus, (8+ / 0-)

and a great compilation of our local birds, with add-ons by others as well, especially two of my favorites, CBChickadee and Oak Titmouse. I miss the latter since leaving Sonoma County, where they lived and taught their babies right outside my dining room window. So cute! Come to think of it, I miss the CA Quail and CA Towhees from that locale as well. We rescued a feral kitten there, and I rescued some baby quails from her before deciding to make her an indoor cat. Long after moving up here to Eureka, I was watching a documentary about the Bay Area, when they showed a mom quail with a string of babies following her, and my cat went wild, watching them on the tv. I'm so glad she is an indoor cat now, as I know what she would do if she saw some quail again. I had no idea she had such a good memory.

CBChickadees were playing in the birdbath here yesterday. They love this place, year round.
