  •  Is that why baggers never get arrested although (5+ / 0-)

    heavily armed and often threatening liberals and the media who may be standing there observing or asking them questions? Do they never block traffic? I am just curious.

      Just like Westboro Baptist: if you obey the law, you can protest and not be arrested no matter how awful your message is.

      time, place, and manner restrictions imposed by the local government. The Tea Party made a strategic decision that they would not break any local laws and position themselves and their movement as a group of law abiding citizens. This required that they obtain permits, insurance. portable sanitary facilities, security, cleanup crews, and stay within the constraints that were part of their permits.

      The Tea Party events where people brought weapons were in states that allow open carry. They weren't breaking the law.
