  •  Hard work still matters a lot (7+ / 0-)

especially in local elections, and especially in primaries.

As a local delegate, I'm continually impressed when someone running for office takes the time and effort to knock on my door instead of sending an e-mail or even calling me. That really makes an impression on a lot of people, and that kind of people-powered politics never goes out of style.

    •  THAT is how you win elections. (4+ / 0-)

When are YOU running? You know, I was a dem election official down in Houston years ago. Anyone who wants to can do stuff like that or run for office. Just ask Eddie and Maine State Senator Colleen Lachowicz who by the way, ROCKS and it just so happens that she sits in the state house next to our rep from Thomaston/St. George, "Coach", who beat out the vomitous Chris Rector (R-could be worse).

Have you ever thought about maybe running for office? I don't know you THAT well, but I know you a little, and frankly, I think you could do a lot of good.

I resent that. I demand snark, and overly so -- Markos Moulitsas.

      •  Hmmmm...maybe (0+ / 0-)

Only on a local level though.

The cesspool in DC doesn't appeal to me at all.
