    the Bush years. Compared to Iraq, Katrina, and the overall mood during the entire Bush administration, these scandals are NOTHING.

    That, and most Americans probably want another stimulus or jobs bill. They know Republicans are blocking everything Obama wants to do, and they don't support it. It's like Nixon's "silent majority". Unlike the hyper-vocal tea baggers, most Americans support some government intervention in the economy. They just have other shit to do besides yell Benghazi at their TV all day. Like Nixon's "silent majority" (ironically, many of whom are tea baggers now) versus the loud college students, these folks aren't vocal but they are paying attention.
