    Haven't digested this article entirely, but other credible sources don't make the connection either.

    But Sen. Whitehouse did.....based on what evidence?

    •  Climate Change is predicted to cause storms (9+ / 0-)

      to be more violent because with the warming atmosphere there will be more humidity and that can supercharge storms.  At least that's science's best judgement and I'll take their word on that.  It can also shift weather patterns, by, for example, moving the jet stream north or south, but that doesn't necessarily change the effect of storms, in my understanding.

        I'm more convinced than ever than climate change contributed to the horrible situation in OK right now.  I've heard of tornadoes devastating parts of the Midwest and South before but nothing like this.
