    is indeed bad. I lived in northern Clinton county and encountered it often. I moved out of there 30 years ago, but still keep in touch. A great many people my age that I knew are now dead or very sick. Even when I lived there it had one of the highest cancer rates in the nation.
    However, fracking degrades underground water sources. If you think things are bad now, well yes, they can get worse.

      It is not an acid mine discharge; it is net akaline which makes it easier to mitigate.  And, yes, fracking can degrade underground water if it's done improperly.
