  •  Yes, of course it is about awareness, Pluto. Does (4+ / 0-)

there need to be another reason? I'm baffled by your comment as well as see it as insulting.

Beyond that awareness, is there another point to this Diary?
    Wtf?

I am not suggesting we send more troops over there to fix this problem. We have enough immoral rape/abuse in our own country that desperately needs attention.

We must  remain aware of the atrocities against other human beings, especially when it involves children. Without awareness nothing will change. With awareness some will find and create solutions. And some will die fighting for the lives of the countless women and girls who are being killed, tortured and abused by this extremely oppressive society.

The worst thing we can do is simply ignore it, as if to 'silence' the problem. That is what happened with the Holocaust and  the Rwanda Genocide  I'm stunned by your comment.

I could have stated it more artfully, because it's not really directed at you.

My comment is meant to be pre-emptive, so that not a morsel of tolerance grows in anyone's mind toward our illegal and savage presence in Afghanistan.

The plight of Afghan women has been successfully used to soften up liberals for years and years toward our murder spree in that nation. For me, it's a dogwhistle.

I do what I can to prevent that. I never, ever let it pass.

I sincerely apologize for disrupting your Diary.
