  •  I can't tell you how much I loathe the phrase (10+ / 0-)

"jobless recovery" and the "serious" people who use it with zero sense of irony. Actually, I even hate hearing that phrase with irony because even then it contributes to keeping that toxic phrase in our vernacular.

There is no such fucking thing as a jobless recovery. It's not a goddamn recovery if there are no goddamn jobs (and I don't mean minimum wage, part time, no-benefits jobs). What we have is a Wall Street Recovery, so that's exactly what it should be called.

For the economic situation we have now, and the economic situation we've been in for a long time, the word "recovery" should never, ever be uttered by any person unless it is preceded by "Wall Street".

    Thanks for the diary, Priceman.

    •  it's funny how you can have a "recovery" (7+ / 0-)

when 93% of the people are still screwed as much or more than when the economy crashed.  guess who doesn't count?

      i'm part of the 99% - america's largest minority

WE don't have the collective will to even acknowledge the truth about what would make a recovery, and part of that would have to be the government lowering the labor pool to raise wages and to raise the minim wage to $10.55 an hour just as a start and to massively deficit spend to make up for current account trade deficit capital flows and demand leakages.

Yes, this is a Wall St recovery and a Wall St government. The real economy is in shambles.

      Thank you, Oaktown Girl.

I don't negotiate grand bargains with deficit terrorists!
