Since is was just yesterday. Good piece from a good source, John Nichols.

But I think what MrJayTee and others are looking for is something that more directly takes on the issue and/or states a position.

Personally, living in a country where the press has less freedom and journalists and bloggers have to take greater risk to report what doesn't suit the convenience of government (and do so regularly including increased use of the internet) I can appreciate what MrJayTee is saying.

    Use it or lose it.

I like Obama. I think he's a good guy. But he has gone overboard in the name of national security in several ways and needs to correct course.

What would John Nichols say to Obama? How would he argue the case? We have an idea.

What would Meteor Blades say to Obama? How would he argue the case?

In another place and time, Nichols and Bruce Fein made a persuasive case for the impeachment of Bush and Cheney and the discussion included what has now proven to be an accurate prediction of the "use of tools" by "the next president".  Suggest you watch both episodes of the video.

Is Daily Kos as meek on this issue as Pelosi/Congress were on impeachment?

Does political expeditiousness trump principle in this case?
