that making legal abortion more difficult to obtain would result in some women choosing illegal abortions.

No one has ever raised that issue to my knowledge. Except, well, everyone. These guys truly live inside the GOP information bubble where no women really want abortions. They are just silly creatures and they'll get over it if you make them think for a second.

Not only should they be charged as accessories, but they should be publicly humiliated.

Abortions will never stop.  The only question is how many will be made unsafe because safe & legal abortions have been legislated out of existence.  It's a medical issue that should be nobody's business except for the woman and her doctor.  The hypocrisy is appalling; the same rethugs who want to legislate women's lives down to the level of their uterus are the same ones who complain about "government overreach" and who would be screaming bloody murder if we tried to regulate corporations even a tenth as much as this.

      BTW, love your sig!

They cannot be charged as accessories or accomplices since they did not actually aid or abet but if one is speaking in hyperbole they are just one more part of the plan to deny a woman the right of choice and the legislation will never stop abortion but will make abortion dangerous and desperate measures will be taken by desparate women.

      •  Maybe they should be charged (2+ / 0-)

with the full knowledge they will be acquitted. Republicans can hardly complain about political grandstanding ...

        •  you really should bring charges in good faith (0+ / 0-)

and it would be wrong to charge the elected officials just as it is wrong to charge the two women.
