to more partnerships between Catholics and other groups when it comes to helping "the least of my brothers and sisters." Suppose you're a group of humanists, and want to start a free lunch program...but the best facility that has the space and equipment is the parish hall down at St. Simon's Cathedral?

My Episcopal parish already works with a consortium of other Protestant denominations to participate in a rolling shelter program, each parish taking a group of homeless for 1 month. If the local Catholic churches joined in, that would be a lot less pressure on the rest of the group. If even atheists who do good will be going to Heaven, then that should lessen the amount of demonization of mainline Christian denominations.
