      He would be a fool to stay silent on the evil actions that the bishops engaged in to hide rapists from justice. He is in the position to condemn every single action by bishops to protect rapists and to accept the complete retirement of every bishop who engaged in such coverups, whether the country they did it in considered it a felony or not.

      He could show us that he is not a slave to the Curia by telling Law that it is time to return to Boston.

      Americans can make our country better.

        was not impressive. but as pope he has the opportunity to prove by doing that the church will take full responsibility and fundamentally change. there has to be a full accounting, with the church not only no longer protecting anyone, but helping investigate and bring both perpetrators and accessories to justice. nothing less is acceptable.
