Just wait until something forms out there in the Atlantic and we have no good satellite data - warnings / watches / evacuations all affected.  You watch as soon as it hits land anywhere between North Carolina and Texas coasts and NOAA can't "pin" it down to within 100 miles, they'll all be screaming about NOAA and NWS being incompetent.

The weather isn't private.  Weather forecasting should not be private either.

    •  NOAA furloughs during hurricane season (0+ / 0-)

Dr. Jeff Masters of the Weather Underground was lamenting that the sequester furloughs for NOAA will be one day each month during hurricane season.

Presumably Republicans have an arrangement with God so that no major hurricanes will be bearing down during the furloughs. Or that those hurricanes will miss the entire GOP South and just land on blue state regions.
