Which Big Oil companies threatened to sue the IRS and what was the issue where the IRS for the first time backed down and issued an apology?

An element that many here seem to have missed is that the IRS or any other state, local, or federal agency, cannot have different rules based on the political views of groups seeking any kind of government approval. While it may not seem logical to you a group applying for c4 status, who has the sole purpose of repealing the 16th Amendment, must be treated by the IRS in the same manner as a "Friends of the IRS" group. That holds true for all levels of government and all agencies. They all must be "content neutral".

    "let's talk about that"
