    Since a lot of our energy consumption comes from the things we buy, guess you'd need to think about that each we too. How are you doin' in terms of reducing purchasing goods?

    That's one I'm asking myself more and more. Ditto for materials extracted and processed in making a product as well as how and where those things were done. And which company is putting it out there, and what are their politics, especially re: sustainability.

    I have reduced my day-to-day consumerism probably 50% over the past 10 years.

    Other things: we cut our water bill in half by changing our landscaping, and that means reduced energy as well.
