    The giant steel box was a substantial mass of steel and with added velocity would represent a significant impact load. Most any bridge structure would have been severely burdened by such a hit.

      the truck from going over the bridge.

      Same thing where I live, when an 18 wheeler with a trailor weighted down tries to go over a raised rail road track, gets stuck on the track and gets hit by the train.

      That truck and those like it should never have been allowed on the bridge.

      It's a disaster waiting to happen.
