    I am told by someone who knows the truck hitonly one overhead beam. It ws aparently lower than the others for unknown reasons.

    Second 14'6 was prior to repaving. Wonder how many layers of asphalt they have added since they measured last.

      mean to mock. But fer chrissakes - we gotta rebuild the infrastructure in this country.

      if a habitat is flooded, the improvement for target fishes increases by an infinite percentage...because a habitat suitability index that is even a tiny fraction of 1 is still infinitely higher than zero, which is the suitability of dry land to fishes.

        I don't think most people realize that there really is no detour. As bad as the bridges are the "detours" are far more so, if they exist at all. The bridges on those roads are far older and smaller, not ment to handle the weight that will be passing over them.

        This bridge makes the news because it actually fell down. There are others on this same freeway that are in far worse shape. The Lewis river bridge for one. It has no detour.

        I 5 is how most everything gets anyplace in the northwest.
