Grandpa's grave (WWII, came home and lived a good long life after the war) needs a new flag.

We aren't unwrapping it until we get there, because there's usually a group that comes through on Memorial Day making sure all the military-marked gravestones have a flag in decent condition on them, and if they've already put one on it we'll wait and use ours to replace it in late summer.

(Grandpa used to fold the flags with the American Legion's military funeral crew around here, used to help with the flag-retiring ceremonies, and taught me a lot of what I know about the basics of the flag code, so I'm designated flag-checker whenever we visit the cemetary he's in. I wish they'd make the sticks of graveside-sized flags longer - it's hard to get one to stay in the ground firmly without the flag touching the ground!)

Prayers and best wishes to those in Boston, in Texas, and for this week to be over without anything else happening.
