    Brave men and women who would by example of fortitude, grace in the face of evil, and personal example represent the best of the human spirit.

    Yes, I am "anti church", you betcha! But allow me to apologize for the "anti" sentiment. It bleeds, sometimes...

    For every "ordinary hero" who died for conscience, millions of others died while "the church" remained in some shape, form or fashion.... I may be splitting hairs. Good people died as a result of conscience, some through the perception they were people of conscience, others through any fault of their own other than knowing the wrong person, having a distant relative, others through no fault of any kind.

    Your teachings may say one thing. The behavior of individuals representing that teaching have swung between the pyrrhic victory, heroic action and success in the face of certain death, and abject submissiveness to Power. It is the latter for whom I hold my ire. Whether they are Orthodox or HRC, they are all criminals and enablers to me.
