  •  Ok, I'll play. (9+ / 0-)

    1) no
    2) Arnica or valium. Arnica is best for muscle aches.
With valium you still have pain but you don't care.
    3) When neighbor kids are selling magazines, I try to get
at least one. Popular Science is good.
4)I love writing checks. My credit union has a new account
for old people. I thought "how nice for them" and then
realized I was one of them. Free checking, 2 boxes of
free checks, no minumum balance but you have to write
       4 checks a month.
    5) My schedule is different every day and so are my sleep
patterns. I fall asleep easily but never more than a few
hours at a time. I like to nap sitting up.

I once took Xanax for a muscle spasm in my neck. I figured it'd relax the muscle, thus no more spasming. Didn't work that way.

      •  I don't know anything that works on spasms (5+ / 0-)

except massage, or a long soak in a hot tub. Muscle relaxers (and Xanax is one) only seem to help for tightness.

Screaming is a good muscle relaxer. ;-) One time I watched a horror movie on TV, and my roommate started screaming whenever the monster appeared, so I joined her, and we screamed our lungs out. I never felt so relaxed as I did after that movie ended.

Our neighbor sure freaked out, though. ;-)

      •  The first one I ever took was for a migraine. (4+ / 0-)

Then I and the friend who gave it to me went for a walk. After a bit she asked if my headache was gone. Grinning, I cheerfully told her no, that I felt it with every step, but it didn't bother me anymore.

I asked my pharmacist and she said the only thing that helps spasms are heavy duty injections and they are used for epilepsy and such.

Massage works nice though, when you can get it.
