  •  Yes, I'm betting on the president's timing to (6+ / 0-)

out and confront the obstructionist GOP bully-bums.  We are just waiting to bring change to the legislative process so things get done as obstructionists are swept aside, if not defanged for good.  I think Reid will act, he is a former prize fighter and he looks at the odds of beating the GOP.  I don't think he will back down again, not because he may lose his leadership position, but because he will relish blasting the GOP to ineptitude oblivion when the time is right.  My money is on the tag team Obama and Reid for the big win.  And the 2014 elections for the surge against the GOP at the polls coming up in the midst of all this.  Our base will be highly motivated to get out the vote and take over the House and move our lead up in the Senate.  Some local elections of note will garner interest too.  In MA. we are ready to ge to the polls for Markey against the GOP rich guy who wants to protect himself and his Karl Rove super rich allies.  He is in for a surprise when the results come in.

    •  Will Godot show up before Reid forces action? (1+ / 0-)

We do need action and we need a big win, but we have been watching Obama and Reid spend all their time making nice with the reactionary senators who refuse to behave.

Game theory makes it clear that once you have been nice and the opponent returns nastiness, the only way to work it is to go to tit-for-tat. When the Republicans finally repent of their attempts to destroy this nation Reid can engage in comity again. Right now he is just being used.

Americans can make our country better.
