    If you're poor and not unlucky enough to live in one of the red states that's refusing to accept additional federal Medicaid money, you'll get decent health care--if you bother to. If you're doing well then while your costs might increase you'll still be able to get good health care. But if you're in the middle, especially the lower half of the middle, you'll be too "well off" to qualify for assistance, but not "well off" enough to be able to afford the extra costs yourself.

    I.e. the working class. I.e. people who've been getting screwed. I.e. the very people that Dems need to win back to win that permanent majority.
