  •  Why become 501(c)(4) if not ideological/political? (0+ / 0-)

It is difficult to find any 501(c)(4) that is not ideological/political.  If the organization is a charitable organization it would want to be a 501(c)(3) if it had no intent to be ideological/political as donors get to deduct donations on their taxes - making fund raising easier.

501(c)(4)s are elected because it can be ideological/political and not be required to subject donors to public disclosure.

The most important way to protect the environment is not to have more than one child.
