    ...Ramadan is not celebrated with the same intensity, at least here in Singapore, that Americans celebrate Christmas.  Heck, even Christmas in Singapore isn't celebrated that intensely either; not surprising when only 8% or so of the country is Christian.  Perhaps the only holiday here that comes close to Christmas-level intensity is Chinese New Year.  Otherwise, shopping days like Black Friday don't exist here.
