These GOP dipshits claim to be pro-business, job creators, yada yada yada.........I wonder how many of them have actually run a business and, you know, hired people?

The reason I ask is this: My SO is in a position where she makes hiring decisions. She has been in this job since 2009, so right in the thick of high unemployment. She would advertise a position and get anywhere from 80 to 200 applications.

Typically about 80% of the applications were totally inappropriate: no related experience, under/over-qualified, or basically just no indication of why this person would want this job.

My personal theory is that almost all of these applications were from people who were getting unemployment benefits and were required to apply for X number of jobs per week. They didn't want these jobs, they were just doing what they were told to do so they could keep their head above water while they looked for a job they actually wanted.

Well great, the UI office made beneficiaries jump through some hoops, so that politicians could be satisfied that people on UI weren't goofing off. Meanwhile, the person who is actually trying to hire someone has to waste time and money sifting through 100 useless resumes sent them courtesy of the UI bureaucracy.
