  •  The strawberries and the raspberries will mostly (4+ / 0-)

go into jams, with a few set aside for a Küchen and some shortcake.

We've never gotten enough cherries yet to really do much with, between fungus, bugs and birds, but I've got my fingers crossed.

And I'm the only one who grew up with mulberries, the housemate has never even tasted one, so if anything is going to be done with those, it'll be up to me.  It's a small tree, though, so I doubt I'll even get enough for a pie.

Garlic and red onions still going strong, and I decided to go with a backup corn crop and planted 'blue jade', a blue kernel variant that only grows to about 3 ft high, since I still had seed for that.  I'll buy more glass gem seed when it hits the market again next year, and try that then.  Also got a few fruit swelling up back on the cukes and spaghetti squash, but they're still a long way from picking.  No sign yet of any tomatoes, but a few flowers at least.
