based on the 1/3 of Gravity's Rainbow that I read.

I have Mason & Dixon up on the shelf but I'm trying to read all of Pynchon in chronological order prior to the release of Bleeding Edge but I've gotten stuck in a particular chapter of V.

I will go ahead and read The Crying of Lot 49 but then I'll jump to Inherent Vice before getting to Gravity's Rainbow again.

Roger Mexico's Christmas vigil?  That's my favorite scene in all of American fiction.   Holy cow.

(I just reread it again, because I have it bookmarked, forever and ever.)

I got up to the octopus scene which ranks up there with my all time favorite scenes (as does the Malcolm X scene)

Was browsing in the used bookstore today and found a paperback copy of his short story collection, Slow Learner.
