    I worked in Lake Tahoe, NV in the casinos.  They were good places to work, plenty of work, good bennies, advancement and decent pay with raises.

    Nowadays, in Nevada, wages have dropped, many business have closed, temp jobs have become ascendant and advancement?  hah!  

    In my work experience employees have gone from being respected workers to over-worked multi-taskers known as "associates".  wtf is an 'associate?'

    It's really depressing.  

    I don't have children and I wonder, how do parents cope?  I have the book on hold at my local library, can't afford to buy a copy.
