    Not that it makes any sense for people to have to move in order to survive... But if they do, we're in the process of implementing single payer within the state. Sadly, we couldn't get the waiver that would let us skip setting up an exchange, so we needlessly get the expense of setting up an exchange that won't be used for more than a year or so, tacked onto the cost of setting up the new system. You can guess who voted against the waiver.

      As for Vermont, I'd move there in a heartbeat but for one thing: jobs.  My best friend's family all lives in Vermont, but they all work, or have retired from public service jobs in Grand Isle County.  Jobs in my field, molecular biology, are pretty much nonexistent - and believe you me, I've looked.

      Those jobs start moving there, I'll be following them.
