  •  The cable was our's, but keep digging! (0+ / 0-)

I am sorry you feel the need to justify the exposure of embedded agents for your own self-righteousness.  You are right though, NSA counterparts to other national NSA agents never gather intelligence on each other.

    Never.

Get your cloak because your dagger is pointed at your own heart.

In their private online conversations, Manning, who had Top Secret security clearance, told Lamo that he spent more than a year sifting through material on classified government networks containing "incredible things, awful things". He was reportedly reassured that Wikileaks could protect his identity by its release of the 9/11 pager message archive, which he recognised as coming from inside the NSA, the most secure of the US intelligence agencies.
From Manning's lips to your ears.

If you want to call Manning liar, we may continue this discussion.

Texas is Texas, you know. The second you think you got it figured out, it will switch on you. Just ask Rick Perry in 2012.

with the NSA.  It was written by a low-level US diplomat in India about a low-level Indian official who happened to have the title "NSA".

I think you're sorely mistaken about which one of us is digging here.

If you seriously believe that the National Security Agency sends sensitive information via State Department cables which they know will be classified at the very lowest level and freely available for over five million people to read then you really are delusional.

Ah, the Ad hominem gambit, the last stand of one who cannot stand on facts. If you cannot accept the fact that very party involved agrees with my statement, then you are actually also involved in a bit of projection as well.

Thanks for making my day. And have a good one yourself sir.

        •  You missed the "if" part of that sentence (0+ / 0-)

          apparently.

Have you figured out that NSA Shivshankar Menon isn't the National Security Agency yet?  Have you managed to comprehend that Manning did not leak the 9/11 pager message archive?  Are you even aware that while he did have top secret clearance, nothing Manning leaked was classified top secret?

You understand that the 9/11 pager message archive wasn't leaked by Manning, don't you?

He saw it on Wikileaks, and was reassured that they could protect his identity by the fact that they had protected the identity of whomever it was who leaked that.

So glad you are not in charge of keeping the bumps in the night quiet.
