    and eats at everything. We don't have it so bad as we are in Puget Sound which does not get the inflow as much as one does on the coast itself.

      We lived in Ocean Shores, WA for 5 years. The winters were horrible. It's really a sand spit and the wind comes 60mph in the winter every week, almost. 80mph in the winter is considered extreme, but we have experienced 120mph out there and seen water spouts come off the ocean.

      You can leave something made of steel outside for 2 days and it's rusted. You have to use stainless steel nails and screws.

      We hated it. Sure there was the odd day when it wasn't windy and the sun did shine, but they were so rare. Still, it was an experience and I'm glad I had it.

        It is fine in the summer except for the tourists.  A good place to visit but I would not want to live there. Your photo illustrates that well.
