    what's surprising is the sudden outrage over something that has been known, because the Patriot Act allows it. You don't need a conspiracy theory to say they're doing things that are within the bounds of the law. The outrage should have come when they gave themselves permission

      that they gave themselves permission but they made it so that it was illegal to talk about it.  A perfectly sealed box within which to ensure their protection no matter what went on.  And then we see what happens to "leakers" under the Obama administration . . . way to send the message in case there were any individuals with a conscience involved in this who might talk.
