  •  They are wrong. (0+ / 0-)

    They failed to study Machiavelli.

Perhaps if they'd retained a generous food stamp program, and had refrained from stealing people's houses (foreclosure fraud), people would accept it all.

They are going too far.  We WILL hit the point where people organize to turn things around.

    •  I Tend To Doubt It (0+ / 0-)

The powers that be have learned and refined the methods used to pit the 'haves' against anyone interested and acting towards change for the better.  And by 'haves', I mean anyone with anything to lose, be it a 7 figure CEO, an upper 6 figure medical specialist, a lower 6 figure professional, or anyone near median family wage ($40,000?) if there's any perceived risk or cost.

For every foreclosure, there's plenty in fear of foreclosure.
For every layoff, there's plenty fearful for their jobs.
For every medical bankruptcy, there's plenty grateful for good health and/or insurance.
We lost over 40,000 soldier's lives in Vietnam and near than 5,000 in Iraq and Afghanistan and eliminated the draft, hence no similar outrage.

Just my feeling, but we've a long way to go to hit the tipping point.
