  •  There Are 3-4 Different Grades of Superglue (8+ / 0-)

the lightest is very thin and it wicks itself into every imaginable tiny crack. The thickest is called "gap filling" and is a little slower setting.

Many of these adhesives have real problems bonding to some plastics, depending on what kind of bond situation you have.

I would doubt either superglue or epoxy would do the job for a broken mop handle, depending on how well I understand the problem. My suspicion is there may be so much leverage on the break joint that neither adhesive may be strong enough without some kind of ruther reinforcement.

...fix. I would suggest, if the Swiffer handle screws into the mop head with a standard knuckle tread, seeing if you can buy a regular metal mop handle, assuming the mop head and other parts are still functional.

going from the spray button to the mop sprayer on the bottom. It's the top, above the metal part that snapped, where it curves to grip it. Essentially we're going to have to replace it. Right now duct tape is holding it together (there's a long flat piece that rests against the metal) until we can afford to do so. Otherwise I'll have to go with the hospital style mop we have, though that's harder for me to use and will dry slower because it's more wet.
