In the minds of the New KKK, that's almost as bad as BWB: Breating While Black. Nutters like this shouldn't be allowed near cars, knives or any implement that can be used to harm others - and I note how eagerly she apologised after finding out your son was white.

Frankly, that nutjob woman should be grateful she wasn't prosecuted - and I don't give a fig why she was stalking a child, or what colour the child's skin was.

If this had happened in Florida, and if your son had been one whit less intelligent about the situation (you can, if you like, tell him that a college postgraduate thinks that he's one damn bright kid), there'd be another "Trayvon Martin" headline, only this would feature a white kid as the victim.

    One was bad enough.

    •  I keep going back feeling grateful that the car (8+ / 0-)

behind her made her PASS our son.  That's when he was able to see her license plate and memorize it.  She had already pulled her car into a driveway abruptly right in front of him, and then, she proceeded to drive behind him -- about 20 feet back -- as he changed direction to go home.

From our son's description, it seems like she was trying to herd him out of the neighborhood.

I wonder what she would have done if she had still been tailing him, when instead of going straight out of the neighborhood, he got to our street and took a right turn. Would she have escalated?  Sped up to abruptly turn into another driveway in front of him?  Or what?
