Seriously, think about becoming a reader.  The English Language and Lit people follow us into the Louisville Convention Center, so you 'd get to see exactly what I'm talking about. My high school teacher friends all think this helps them be better AP teachers, and I trust their judgment about that.

from active teaching. Besides, I make some pretty easy money here doing summer school. I'll be going to a four-day AP workshop in July. We are part of a program that Notre Dame is doing with some federal STEM money. Part of it is to raise overall AP participation and scoring. They will have out-of-school sessions for students and teachers. They are actually going to pay me $100 for every student who scores a 3, 4, or 5. They are also going to pay the student $100. Our school already pays for the exam itself for the students. So if I can get 50 students to pass, I get $5K. I've never had an opportunity to earn a bonus while teaching before.

It's going to be a mountain of work, but I'm having so much fun teaching at this point in my life that I can't wait.
