  •  My guess (5+ / 0-)

People seem to be in a rush to honor someone like Snowden.  I would wait a little.

My guess is that we're going to see more and more that it's less and less.

    •  That rush to honor (12+ / 0-)

indicates a pretty huge dissatisfaction with the way things are run and a willingness to get behind someone that wants to challenge it in ways that force SOMETHING to happen. What that is or will be who knows.
I give all my respect to this particular rush to honor.

It's that the scenario is not really the type that instills confidence.

When someone working in intel goes to one of your main economic rivals, and then reveals this sort of information, I feel like it's prudent to judge the actions separate from the individual.

I'm going to speak out about the abuses, but I'm also not going to go down the path that starts with an idealized story of a heroic action, but which will at some point be made more and more clear.

Does that mean I have decided that this man is bad or good?  No.  Neither.

what he knows, and wouldn't turn him over to the US if he's an asset.  So it makes sense from the perspective of fleeing the US...as long as he's prepared to live the rest of his life in China with whatever means the government allows him to live.

    •  He revealed nothing new. (0+ / 0-)

7 year old news isn't "news". Has he signed a lucrative book deal, yet?
