We're off synch time-wise now so this comment may go unnoticed. We were out and about this morning (to Geysir, the prototype geyser of the world, or at least the one where the word came from, so all the others were named after.)

Iceland is disconcerting, since it doesn't really ever get dark. Compounds the confusion and disorientation caused by jet lag. It's 11:15pm now, pretty heavy overcast, but only dusk - definitely not dark.

The grocery store was a kick, since we couldn't tell what the label says. Is that water carbonated? Sweetener added? No clue!!

Welcome to New Day hosting, mallyroyal.

It's not a festival, but we will be going to a "Viking" wedding on the summer solstice.

Not big on those kind of events over all. Reached the point in life where crowds can be a bother. I do like feast days at the New Mexico Pueblos. Traditional dances, foods, and especially the koshare (clowns.) A friend became a clown some years ago, it was an especially big kick to watch his first public appearance as clown on San Lorenzo feast day.
