      Not sure what you mean by this wording.

      It happened as I stated. No one said I needed a passport. She asked for my license. I showed my old just expired MA license, my brand new paper temporary license, and my passport... showed them all three in case. They had an abundance of proof that I was who I was.

      Sure, they let me by. But also, it targetted me to be pulled out of line to be screened for extra scrutiny. When I got there and handed them the paper that the person had given me after I showed my ID, they switched into high gear as if I were a "suspicious" person.

      Later I was told it was that I had "irregular" ID. I guess what we'd THINK should be isn't always what actually is so. I agree...a passport shouldn't be thought of as "irregular" for ID. It was.

        passport first, it would have been accepted and no "irregular" id would have come to light. Of course, the passport should have ended the fiasco, anyway.
