      that most governments spy on their own citizens to some degree or another. I just found it interesting that the current justification for these programs seems to rely on the argument that we're not spying on ourselves, we're only spying on "foreigners" (eg. the Germans). The Germans, I'm guessing, don't regard themselves as foreigners.

      I'm not sure what the reaction would be to a discovery that the Germans were sweeping up Americans' info with the justification that the Americans are, after all, foreign persons.

      Alpacas spit if you annoy them. So don't do that.
