  •  It hit me over the weekend, finally, they do not (4+ / 0-)

    want peace.  They want war.  The US, inc. our Nobel-laureated pres, and all the others the world over.  They want war.  They like it.  It serves them and their cohorts well.  They don't suffer.  They don't sacrifice, so for them, it works just fine.  They want it.  Because if they wanted peace, they'd make peace.  But they don't.  And that's because they want war.

      In fairness to our leaders, there must be some
      sense of exasperation as well, given the dynamics of the middle east, and...

      during the Cold War years, the old Soviet Union was every bit the meddler we were, making the "do we meddle or not" question a little murkier.

      But -- CHEEZE! C'mon, guys, you really need to be able to describe an identifiable American interest with a straight face.
