After you've marched through Washington in an enormous cloud of pepper spray while trying to dodge police billy clubs, come back and tell us how tough you are.
Conversely, if anti-war and civil rights demonstrations aren't your bag, as we oldsters say, research the term LRRP and calculate how many boomers got to take these little strolls.

      great snark.

And we really don't need to play the "who is more protesty" game here.

If the younger set jumped at these attacks on us like the boomers do then there'd be no end of flame wars here.

If debt were a moral issue then, lacking morals, corporations could never be in debt.

trying to take a shot at the echelon occupied by Boomers of Brooks' stripe. (Um, that would be the rear echelon, whence the self-explanatory acronym "REMF" :)

The Boomers as a larger demographic fought against an unjust and immoral war and helped bring greatly increased freedoms to large swaths of the population (blacks, women, Latinos, LGBT and so on). Society owes their generation a great debt of gratitude, maybe not quite as great as that owed the 'Greatest Generation' but close to it, imho.

Full disclosure: I was born in 1959 at the tail end of the Baby Boom, so I cannot claim membership in it. Instead, my generation gave us disco (and punk rock!).
