  •  Wow, you're tired of hearing too much (0+ / 0-)

    about scandals?

That's a heroic reason not to care about a surveillance society! You can't be bothered to hear about it.

    •  I never said I didn't care about a surveillance (0+ / 0-)

society.  Jesus fucking Christ, but you self appointed protectors of liberty sure jump from one extreme to another!  I merely think that this asshole Snowden and his asshole mouthpiece Greenwald shouldn't be celebrated as heroes.  I've known for years that our digital secrets aren't secret...for fuck's sake, I've worked in software security for more than a few years.

I just prefer to be a bit more realistic about where we are and how long it's going to take to reverse the damage Bush did to our liberties (if it is even possible to reverse said damage - too many elected officials, Democratic and Republican, are too fearful of being labeled as 'unpatriotic' if they dare to speak out against any national security concern).

The bottom line is, there are plenty of things we CAN influence (health care, immigration reform, LGBT rights, environmental concerns like green energy) to buy into the abject paranoia about the government doing word counts on my emails.

So take your righteous indignation at my fatigue with Obama Scandals (most pushed from the right, and Greenwald is a right-wing fucker, I don't care if he's gay...he's still an asshole) and kindly direct it somewhere else.

Once in a while you get shown the light, in the strangest of places if you look at it right.
